Invite guests to wave together, then offer optional one-at-a-time photos. The child can participate, watch or take a break.
Send the date request, location, child's age and group size, plus any preferences for a gentle greeting. A request is not a reservation.
No. Confirm the theme provider's program details, costs and availability with our team before making plans.
A calm arrival can help a Wanilla birthday feel welcoming from the first hello. Ask one adult to manage the weather decision and another to help the child greet the character at their own pace. Start with a wave or a short introduction, then invite guests to join a group photo or take turns. Share the child's age, expected group size and preferred level of interaction when you ask us about a theme. Keep a quieter place nearby where the child can pause if the attention feels like too much.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
Official source (opens in a new tab)Choose an adult to monitor the forecast and decide when to move the group indoors. National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
