No. Offer a wave, a photo with a parent, or time to watch. Let the child choose what feels comfortable.

No. Ask the park about gathering space and entertainment separately, then confirm program details and availability with the theme provider.
In Webster, Kentucky, plan the character visit so the child can settle into the moment at their own pace. A familiar adult can introduce the character, then offer a wave or a photo without expecting an immediate hug or pose. Keep other guests close enough to join one simple activity, while leaving a little breathing room around the birthday child. Tell our team the timing, ages, and preferences that will help the visit feel comfortable. Confirm theme-provider program details, cost, and availability before promising specifics to guests.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Kentucky State Parks' FAQ describes reservations for lodge rooms, cottages and campsites. If the plan includes an overnight stay, check the current booking and cancellation conditions for that accommodation. Contact the actual park about separate gathering space and hired entertainment; an overnight reservation does not establish birthday eligibility or event permission.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
