Start with the child watching from a trusted adult's side. Offer a wave or photo later, and accept a no without drawing attention to it.
Use a familiar adult to invite guests forward in small groups. Leave room for children to decline or wait until they feel ready.
Check venue access, booking status and permission for hired entertainment. Ask our team to confirm the character program, cost and availability.
For a gathering in Wila, Pennsylvania, keep the character visit easy to follow: welcome the guest, give the birthday child a choice of greeting, then move into photos or a short group activity. A simple sequence helps children know what comes next without requiring anyone to perform. Ask one adult to gather guests before the visit and another to help with photos. When planning with us, treat the date as a request until arrangements are confirmed. Program details, costs and availability must be confirmed with our team.

Pennsylvania DCNR publishes payment conditions for confirmed state park picnic pavilion reservations. Check the current confirmation and cancellation process before treating a requested date as secured. Confirm the exact pavilion, access and permission for hired entertainment with its operator; the pavilion payment and the entertainer's quote are separate arrangements.

National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup.
