No. Ask us to confirm the requested theme, program options, cost and availability. A date request is not a reservation.
In Wilmette, plan the character visit around a calm welcome rather than a packed schedule. Have the character greet the birthday child at their comfort level, then offer a choice: wave from beside a parent or join the group for a photo. A short story, simple movement game or birthday cheer can give guests a shared activity without putting anyone on the spot. These are planning ideas, not confirmed program inclusions; ask us about the visit format, costs and availability, and confirm any venue permissions separately.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Illinois DNR provides a directory of state park picnic locations. Use it to identify the exact state-managed property, then check its shelter booking process, facilities and access with the operator. A picnic listing is not a reservation or approval for hired entertainment, and it does not establish rules for municipal parks.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
