For a gathering in Yawkey, make the first minutes predictable: let the birthday child know where the character will enter and who can stand nearby. A quiet greeting, a wave and a choice to take a photo now or later can help children warm up at their own pace. Keep guest participation simple, such as a short group hello or taking turns sharing a favorite character moment. Ask us about the requested theme; confirm program, costs and availability with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
West Virginia DNR describes lodging options within its state parks and forests and links to the official park directory. Identify the exact state-managed property, then ask whether there is a reservable gathering space suitable for your proposed activity. Confirm access and hired entertainment rules; a lodging listing does not establish group-event eligibility or approval.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
