Start with a wave and let the child choose to respond. A parent can stay close, and watching from nearby is a fine way to participate.
Invite everyone to copy a simple pose or wave for a group photo. Keep it brief and let children opt out or join from where they are.
Share the event setting, access plan and preferred tone. Confirm program details, cost and availability with our team before treating a visit as arranged.
For Uniondale, Indiana, keep the celebration plan flexible: a character can begin with a friendly wave, pause for the birthday child to warm up, then invite guests into one easy group moment. Before selecting a park or other public space, confirm its rules directly. The available permit example concerns Indianapolis only, not Uniondale, so treat these as statewide planning checks rather than verified city venues or policies. Ask us about a requested theme; program details, cost and availability must be confirmed.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
As a city-scoped example within Indiana, Indy Parks provides permit guidance for private vendor sales. Indy Parks requires permits for private vendor sales. Tell the park what paid services, rentals or entertainment you propose, and check the applicable approval rather than treating all party activities as ordinary park use. This example applies only to Indianapolis's listed municipal facilities; other cities and state-managed parks have separate operators and rules. Confirm the exact venue's reservation process and permission for hired entertainment.

National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup.
