Let the child choose between a wave, a photo, or simply watching from beside a trusted adult.
Invite children forward in small turns and keep a clear space around the character and child of honor.
Ask us to verify the requested theme, program details, costs, and availability.
For a Warnerville celebration, give the guest of honor time to notice the character before inviting a closer hello. A parent can stay beside the child for a wave, a short conversation, or a quick photo. Set a relaxed rhythm for other children to participate one at a time, with watching as a welcome choice. Ask us about the theme you have in mind; confirm program details, costs, and availability with our team before making plans.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
New York State Parks describes a range of pavilion and event rental sizes and amenities. Check the exact facility's capacity, layout and regional booking conditions before choosing a gathering plan. Confirm whether a hired character visit and any equipment are permitted; the statewide rental page does not establish that every activity or date is available.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
