In West Townshend, build the character visit around a few unhurried moments: a hello for the birthday child, a photo if they want one and a group invitation that guests may decline. If your gathering involves a remote camping site, verify the site's practical limits before making plans. These are statewide planning checks, not verified town facilities or policies. Ask us about a manageable visit; program details, costs and availability must be confirmed.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Vermont's Department of Forests, Parks and Recreation publishes site-specific occupancy information for its remote camping sites. If a plan involves one of these state-managed remote sites, check capacity, access, sanitation and drinking-water arrangements before proceeding. This camping guidance is not a birthday venue recommendation or permission for hired entertainment, and it does not describe every Vermont park.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
