Choose the character your child is most excited about, then think about the room size and whether the party is indoors or outside. A character visit can be adapted to a small living room or a larger hall.
Our character visits start at one hour, and longer visits are booked in 30-minute steps, such as 1.5 or 2 hours. Choose the length that fits your guest count and the activities you want to include.
Ask whether outside entertainers are permitted, whether there are electrical or sound limits, how long the room is reserved, and what the setup and cleanup rules are. Venue rules differ, so confirm each detail directly.
Outdoor pavilions and parks are often available to reserve in the Fairbanks North Star Borough. Ask about shade, seating, and a weather backup, and remember that an open pavilion is not a lightning shelter.
Alaska is large and its party venues vary a lot from one borough to another, so the right room or outdoor site depends on where the party is held. Below are a few practical details from the state's public venue listings to help you narrow your options before you choose a character and plan the visit.
The Birch Hill Assembly Room in the Fairbanks North Star Borough holds up to 250 people and is often booked for weddings, seminars, and other large gatherings. It comes with tables, chairs, a sound system, and a kitchenette. For a kids' party, you might ask whether the sound system can handle a character's microphone or music, and whether the space works for games and a seated audience.

Fairbanks North Star Borough parks and recreation listings say that facilities, parks, fields, pavilions, and ice houses are available for reservation, with ice houses depending on the season. An open pavilion can suit a warm-weather visit, but ask about its shade and what backup plan you would use if the weather changes. Confirm directly with the borough whether outside entertainers may perform at the site you pick.

The Carlson Center is a 5,100-seat arena on the banks of the Chena River, across from Growden Memorial Park in Fairbanks. The facility also operates as a community center with an indoor play area for children ages 0 to 8 and other programs. If your guests are young, you could ask whether the play area can be reserved or used alongside a character visit.
