Make watching from beside a trusted adult a welcome choice. They can join later for a group wave or photo.
Agree on who monitors weather, who guides guests and where the character greeting will happen.
No. Ask us to confirm availability, cost and program details, and confirm space permissions with the operator.
An Algonac, Michigan party can feel calmer when one adult owns the weather decision and another helps the birthday child ease into the greeting. Start with a wave or a photo beside a familiar adult, then invite interested guests to join one short activity. Before guests arrive, clear the route to the photo area and tell helpers where the indoor backup is. Keep participation optional, especially for younger or hesitant children. Ask us to confirm the requested theme's program, cost and availability; venue access and permissions should be checked with the operator.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
Official source (opens in a new tab)Choose an adult to monitor the forecast and decide when to move the group indoors. National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
