Yes. The child can wave or watch beside a trusted adult and join a photo only if they feel ready.
Invite them to a single group greeting or activity. Keep a little space around the birthday child for a calm photo.
Share the child's preferred greeting, guest age range and venue access notes. Confirm program details, cost and availability.
Give the birthday child in Allegan room to choose how the character visit begins: a wave, a short greeting or a photo with a parent nearby. Guests can join one activity together, which keeps the moment warm without a long queue. For an outdoor party, make weather preparation part of the organizer's plan, including an adult who watches conditions and a clear route indoors. State guidance is not confirmation of Allegan venues or policies. Ask us about the character theme and confirm program details, cost and availability with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
Official source (opens in a new tab)Choose an adult to monitor the forecast and decide when to move the group indoors. National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
