Offer a wave or hello from a comfortable distance, with a photo or closer greeting only if the child wants it.
Invite children to wait for a turn at a group photo or join a simple, optional greeting. A parent can help keep the line calm.
Share the date, location, timing, and child's preferences with our team. Confirm program details, cost, and availability before planning around the visit.
In Bonduel, plan the character visit around a calm welcome rather than a packed schedule. Let the birthday child choose whether to wave, talk from a little distance, or join the character for a photo; watching first is fine, too. Ask us about a short greeting and simple group moment, then confirm program details, cost, and availability with our team. Before choosing an outdoor setting, settle the space and weather plan so the child's special moment can stay relaxed.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Wisconsin DNR describes the reservable picnic shelter at its MacKenzie Center and its booking route through the State Parks reservation system. Treat this as one state-managed facility example: check the actual shelter, nearby facilities and conditions with the operator. Confirm permission for a hired character visit; the listing does not establish rules for every Wisconsin park.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
