Have the character greet the birthday child and caregiver first. The child can wave, stay nearby, or join the group when ready.
Set aside a clear photo spot and invite willing guests in small turns. Keep the option to watch instead of posing.
Send the date, location type, requested character theme, approximate ages, and any access or comfort needs. Confirm program details, costs, and availability with our team.
For a Carlsborg gathering, a relaxed character entrance can give children time to get comfortable before the group joins in. Start with a quiet hello and let the birthday child choose a wave, a photo, or more time with family. Keep the activity short, with an easy option to watch. Organizers can make the arrival smoother by sharing the schedule, guest ages, and access needs when asking us about a requested theme. Program details, costs, and availability require confirmation. These are statewide planning checks and parent suggestions, not verified Carlsborg venues or policies.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Washington State Parks identifies reservation types that require its call center. Check the actual facility type and booking channel before trying to secure a picnic shelter or group space online. Verify access, setup and permission for hired entertainment separately with the operator; a reservation route is not event approval.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
