Offer a wave or a chance to watch before inviting the child closer. Avoid making a hug or conversation part of the plan.
Invite children to join one at a time for a photo or short greeting. An adult can guide the line and leave room for anyone who prefers to watch.
Confirm the facility's capacity, access, setup rules and entertainment permission with its operator. Share your visit outline with our team; details, costs and availability need confirmation.
For a celebration in Grahamsville, start by deciding how much room the group needs for a relaxed greeting and photos. A character can welcome the birthday child first, then offer guests a simple choice to wave, join a brief activity or watch from nearby. New York State Parks describes pavilion and event rentals in varied sizes, but that statewide information does not verify a Grahamsville site. Check the specific facility's capacity and conditions, along with permission for hired entertainment. If outdoors, settle on an accessible indoor backup before party day. Ask our team to confirm program details, costs and availability.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
New York State Parks describes a range of pavilion and event rental sizes and amenities. Check the exact facility's capacity, layout and regional booking conditions before choosing a gathering plan. Confirm whether a hired character visit and any equipment are permitted; the statewide rental page does not establish that every activity or date is available.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
