Let each child choose whether to pose, wave from nearby or skip the picture. Keep the birthday child's moment unhurried.
Share the greeting plan and explain that watching quietly is welcome. Tell families where to meet and who will guide the group.
No. Program details, costs and availability need confirmation with our team; venue permission is a separate check.
A Lake Grove party can feel welcoming without putting the birthday child on the spot. Arrange a first greeting with room to wave or observe, then offer a photo moment that children may join individually or as a group. Before inviting guests, decide where the character will stand and how the group will gather. Ask us about suitable program ideas, costs and availability; any suggested activities need confirmation. These are statewide planning checks, not verified Lake Grove venues or policies.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
New York State Parks describes a range of pavilion and event rental sizes and amenities. Check the exact facility's capacity, layout and regional booking conditions before choosing a gathering plan. Confirm whether a hired character visit and any equipment are permitted; the statewide rental page does not establish that every activity or date is available.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
