That depends on the specific venue and its rules. Check with the venue directly and ask whether outside entertainers are allowed before you confirm your date.
Our character visits start at one hour, and longer visits are booked in 30-minute increments such as 1.5 or 2 hours. Choose the length that suits your group and your schedule.
The City's rental page gives a general range of 50 to 100 dollars per hour. Confirm the current rate for your date with the City before you book.
No. A park picnic shelter is open-sided and does not provide lightning protection. If storms are possible, plan an enclosed indoor backup.
Lakewood has several City-run spaces families often consider for a birthday party. Each has its own reservation process and rules, so it helps to know which venue you are working with before you pick a character and set a visit length.
The City of Lakewood Recreation department offers birthday parties built around pool, climbing and gymnastics activities. If your child is drawn to one of those themes, you might ask whether a costumed character visit could be added and what the department allows for outside entertainers. Confirm those details with the department directly before you assume anything is included.

The City describes a room at the Lakewood Link Recreation Center as a suitable location for birthday parties. The rental page gives a general range of 50 to 100 dollars per hour, which is a guide rather than a quote for your date. Ask what your chosen room includes, how long you can book it, and whether a character visit fits within that reservation.

Lakewood Park has a shelter that can be reserved, and the City's rental page explains how to reserve it and covers pricing. Review those steps before you build a timeline. A picnic shelter is open-sided, so it works well for gathering but is not a place to wait out lightning. If storms are possible, plan a separate enclosed indoor backup.

Ask each venue whether outside entertainers are permitted and what paperwork or fees that involves. Ask how far ahead you need to reserve, and whether you can arrange setup time for a costumed visitor. Our character visits start at one hour and can be extended in 30-minute steps, so you can choose a length that suits your guests.
