Start with a wave or a hello from across the room. Children can decide when, or whether, to come closer.
Offer low-pressure choices such as watching, waving or joining a group photo. Ask the service what activities can be arranged.
Check the location's booking process and permission for hired entertainment. With our team, confirm date, program details, costs and availability.
A relaxed Lamona character visit starts with a plan for how guests will gather and where the visit can move if weather changes. Ask us about a gentle entrance, time for a few individual greetings and a group photo that children may join or simply watch. Give the organizer one adult helper to guide arrivals and keep the activity area clear. Share your proposed date, location and visit length when you ask; program details, costs and availability must be confirmed separately.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Washington State Parks identifies reservation types that require its call center. Check the actual facility type and booking channel before trying to secure a picnic shelter or group space online. Verify access, setup and permission for hired entertainment separately with the operator; a reservation route is not event approval.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
