Offer a wave or hello from a comfortable distance. Let each child choose whether to approach, join in or watch.
Choose a clear greeting spot, tell the character team about the child's preferences and decide where group photos can happen without blocking the activity.

In Neelyton, build the visit around one calm highlight rather than a packed schedule. A character can begin with a wave from a little distance, then let the birthday child decide whether to say hello, join a simple group activity or watch beside a trusted adult. Set aside a brief photo moment so children are not hurried through it. Before choosing an outdoor gathering place, remember that the available city facilities and their rules have not been verified. Confirm the space, access and permission for hired entertainment with its operator. Ask us about the character theme you have in mind; program details, cost and availability need confirmation.

Pennsylvania DCNR publishes payment conditions for confirmed state park picnic pavilion reservations. Check the current confirmation and cancellation process before treating a requested date as secured. Confirm the exact pavilion, access and permission for hired entertainment with its operator; the pavilion payment and the entertainer's quote are separate arrangements.

National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup.
