In New Raymer, Colorado, a little advance staging can help the character visit feel relaxed. Pick a greeting area where children can see the arrival without crowding, and leave space for a few optional photos. Give the child of honor a choice: meet the character first, join with friends or watch before deciding. Statewide park guidance does not verify New Raymer facilities, so check any chosen site directly. Ask our team about the character program, cost and availability before building the party schedule.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife explains that group-area amenities vary by state park. Check the actual shelter, surface, seating and access arrangements for the chosen group area before planning games or a character entrance. Ask the park about the proposed hired entertainment and any event procedures; listed amenities do not establish approval or availability.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
