Let watching count as participation. Offer a wave or a photo later if the child changes their mind.
Invite guests to take one shared group pose after the child has had time to get comfortable.
Choose a likely location and date, and name an adult to monitor weather if outdoors. Confirm visit details, costs, and availability with our team.
Keep a Proctor character visit easy to follow by giving the birthday child one choice at a time. They might wave first, take a photo beside a trusted adult, or simply watch. Guests can join a brief group activity when the child is ready, while an organizer keeps the schedule flexible. If the gathering is outdoors, decide who will monitor the weather and how everyone will move inside. Confirm program details, costs, and availability with the theme provider.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.

National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
