Offer a wave, watching from beside a trusted adult, or joining later. Let each child choose without pressure.
Choose a clear spot with enough room, and ask the birthday child whether they prefer a solo photo or a group picture.
Share the schedule and guest ages with our team. Confirm program details, cost, and availability before making plans.
In Purlear, plan the character visit around the children's comfort and the setting you can confirm. A quiet entrance, a wave from a little distance, and a chance for the birthday child to approach when ready can make the greeting feel easy. Ask us which program ideas may fit your gathering, then confirm the visit details, cost, and availability with our team. Before inviting guests, decide where the character can pause for photos and where children can join a short activity without crowding.

North Carolina State Parks notes that facilities can have limited hours. Check the exact shelter or room's permitted use period, layout and reservation conditions before setting the entertainer's arrival and departure times. Ask the park about hired entertainment separately; a facility reservation does not establish approval for all party activities.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
