Ask the specific center first. Its staff can tell you whether a private room can be reserved and whether outside entertainers are allowed to perform.
A pavilion can work well for a group. Confirm the reservation details with the parks department and check the rules for entertainers before you commit to the location.
Ask about the date and time window, whether the space is reserved for your full visit, setup access, and whether a costumed performer may use the room or area.
Activities such as character greetings, games, or storytelling are options to discuss with the entertainer you choose. Confirm exactly what is included when you book.
Arlington has several public recreation facilities, so the choice of venue often shapes the kind of party you can plan. If you are picking a character for your child's birthday, it helps to know what kind of space you will be in and what questions to ask before you settle on a time.
The city's recreation centers are multi-purpose buildings designed for residents and visitors. The Beacon Recreation Center is described as a modern, multi-purpose building, and Cliff Nelson Recreation Center offers a range of classes alongside its general recreational use. Before booking, ask the staff at the specific center you are considering whether a private party room is available for your date and whether outside entertainers are allowed to perform there.

The City of Arlington's parks and recreation department lets people reserve athletic fields, venues, meeting space, and pavilions. If you are thinking about an outdoor party, a reserved pavilion may suit a group better than an open space. Ask the department how reservations work for a pavilion and whether a costumed visit is permitted in that location.

Start with the date, the number of guests, and the hours you need. Then ask whether the space can be reserved for the full party window, whether you can bring in a performer, and what time the room is free for setup. If you are considering an outdoor pavilion, ask whether the reserved area includes shelter and what the plan is if weather changes.
