Keep the first greeting brief and let the child stay beside a trusted adult. Offer a wave or photo only if they want one.
Ask one adult to meet the character and explain the party flow. Share the child's name and any preferences with our team ahead of time.
The supplied state guidance does not establish that. Ask the specific operator about gathering permission, then confirm visit details with us.
If your Augusta, Kentucky party includes an overnight stay, keep accommodation plans separate from the birthday gathering. A room or campsite reservation does not confirm permission for an event or hired entertainment. For the visit itself, plan a brief welcome, a photo opportunity and an easy way for children to join or simply watch. Prepare the child's preferred name and a quiet place to pause if needed. The statewide guidance does not verify Augusta venues or policies; contact the actual operator and ask our team about program details, costs and availability.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Kentucky State Parks' FAQ describes reservations for lodge rooms, cottages and campsites. If the plan includes an overnight stay, check the current booking and cancellation conditions for that accommodation. Contact the actual park about separate gathering space and hired entertainment; an overnight reservation does not establish birthday eligibility or event permission.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
