No. Invite children to wave, watch or join a photo, and let each guest choose without pressure.
Choose a clear greeting area, brief the supervising adults and keep the child's preferred photo moment in mind.
Ask us to confirm the requested theme, program details, costs and availability. Do not assume any element is included.
A simple run-of-show can help a Bay Terrace birthday feel welcoming without asking every child to perform. Start with a wave or hello, offer the birthday child a personal greeting, then move to photos and optional guest participation. Tell children in advance that watching quietly is fine too. Before the party, decide who will welcome the character and who will gather guests for pictures. Ask us to confirm theme-provider program details, costs and availability; they are not guaranteed by an inquiry.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
New York State Parks describes a range of pavilion and event rental sizes and amenities. Check the exact facility's capacity, layout and regional booking conditions before choosing a gathering plan. Confirm whether a hired character visit and any equipment are permitted; the statewide rental page does not establish that every activity or date is available.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
