Let the child watch from a comfortable distance or stay beside a trusted adult. Offer a wave, with no pressure to approach.
Have one organizer invite small groups forward and keep the photo area clear. The birthday child can pause or leave whenever needed.
Ask the venue about facility use and hired entertainment. Give our team the requested theme, date and ZIP code, then confirm program details, cost and availability.
In Bayonet Point, give the birthday child a chance to see the character before the group gathers around. A warm wave can begin the visit; children who want more can join a short activity or pose for a photo. Ask the organizer to keep a clear approach path and identify a quieter place for breaks. If considering a state-managed property, check with its operator before settling on a party plan. Tell our team the requested character theme, date and ZIP code to confirm visit details, cost and availability.

Florida DEP describes the Florida Park Service and links to its state park information. Identify the exact state-managed property, then ask about the relevant group facility, reservation process and operating conditions. Describe hired entertainment to the operator before booking; the agency overview does not establish birthday eligibility, permission or availability at a particular park.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
