No. Offer photos as an option, and let children wave, watch or join only when they feel ready.
Plan one brief group moment, such as a greeting or photo, instead of filling the visit with activities.
Ask the venue about capacity, access, booking terms and entertainment permission. Confirm theme, program, cost and date with our team.
A Bedford party can feel more relaxed when the character visit has a clear beginning and an easy ending. Start with a greeting for the birthday child, invite guests into one short shared activity, then offer optional photos. Keep space for children who prefer to stay close to a caregiver. Statewide New York rental guidance can help you prepare questions, but it does not verify a Bedford venue or its policies. Check details with the exact operator. Ask us about a requested costume theme; confirm the program, cost and date with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
New York State Parks describes a range of pavilion and event rental sizes and amenities. Check the exact facility's capacity, layout and regional booking conditions before choosing a gathering plan. Confirm whether a hired character visit and any equipment are permitted; the statewide rental page does not establish that every activity or date is available.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
