Invite children to wave, watch, join a simple group activity or pass. Let each child choose rather than calling anyone forward.
First confirm the location's permitted hours and reservation terms, then discuss a workable visit window with us.
Not necessarily. Ask the operator about activity permission, and ask us to confirm program details, cost and availability.
For a Blanch celebration, keep the character's visit easy to follow: a brief hello, a small group moment and a photo opportunity that children can choose to join. A quiet corner or space beside a caregiver can help guests who prefer to observe. Before setting the schedule, work backward from the facility's permitted hours and allow time for arrivals and transitions. Share your timing needs and theme request with us; program details, cost and availability must be confirmed.

North Carolina State Parks notes that facilities can have limited hours. Check the exact shelter or room's permitted use period, layout and reservation conditions before setting the entertainer's arrival and departure times. Ask the park about hired entertainment separately; a facility reservation does not establish approval for all party activities.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
