Offer a group wave or shared photo, and let individual greetings remain optional. Give the child time to watch before deciding.
Ask the operator about reservation conditions, layout, access and permission for hired entertainment. Open shelters and enclosed spaces may have different processes.
No. A request does not secure a date or make payment. Confirm visit details, costs and availability with our team.
A Carytown party can offer a character visit that feels friendly without putting children on the spot. Start with a simple greeting and let the birthday child decide whether to wave, approach or stay near a caregiver. If the group is comfortable, invite guests to join a short photo moment or take turns saying hello. Keep the schedule easy to follow and prepare a quiet pause in case the room feels busy. When asking us about a visit, share the location, timing, child's interests and guest ages. Confirm program details, costs and availability with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Missouri State Parks says enclosed shelters, venues and meeting rooms require advance reservations. Check the exact facility type and current booking conditions, since open picnic shelters can follow a different process. Confirm the gathering layout and permission for a hired character visit with the operator; this policy does not establish entertainer availability.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
