Assign an adult before guests arrive so one person can focus on conditions and the move indoors.
National Weather Service guidance identifies a substantial building with wiring and plumbing as stronger lightning protection than an open shelter. Check your actual venue arrangements.
Ask our team about suitable greeting and activity options. Confirm the program, cost and availability directly.
A weather plan can help a Cement City celebration stay easygoing, especially when the gathering is outdoors. Before the character arrives, choose an adult to watch conditions and know how the group would move inside. Keep the greeting short at first, with an optional photo and a simple activity guests can join without pressure. Ask us about the visit program that fits your plans. Program details, costs and availability must be confirmed with our team. These are statewide planning checks and parent suggestions, not verified Cement City venues or policies.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
Official source (opens in a new tab)Choose an adult to monitor the forecast and decide when to move the group indoors. National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
