Offer a wave, a hello from beside a trusted adult, or a photo from a little distance. Let the child choose.
Share the arrival window, a clear greeting spot and the adult contact who will meet the performer.
No. Ask us to confirm the theme, program ideas, costs and availability before planning around them.
In Clemmons, make the character visit one calm part of the party rather than the whole agenda. A friendly wave or seated greeting gives a shy child time to warm up; joining in can stay optional. Plan a short photo moment with the birthday child, then invite guests to take turns for a group picture or simple activity. Before asking us about a character theme, settle the gathering space, arrival window and an adult point person. Ask us to confirm program ideas, costs and availability; any planned activities need confirmation.

North Carolina State Parks notes that facilities can have limited hours. Check the exact shelter or room's permitted use period, layout and reservation conditions before setting the entertainer's arrival and departure times. Ask the park about hired entertainment separately; a facility reservation does not establish approval for all party activities.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
