Begin with the character greeting the birthday child and offering a choice: wave, say hello or watch nearby. Do not require a hug or group participation.
Invite small groups to take a quick photo, or let children participate together in a short activity. Leave room for anyone who prefers to watch.
Ask us to confirm program ideas, costs and availability. Separately check the venue's permission requirements, the schedule and your indoor backup plan.
For a party in Cloud Crest Hills, Indiana, keep the character visit flexible so children can participate at their own pace. The birthday child might begin with a wave, share a short greeting and then choose a photo or a simple group activity. Ask a familiar adult to help gather guests without turning the visit into a performance everyone must join. Before settling on a park or other location, verify its specific rules for reservations and paid entertainment.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
As a city-scoped example within Indiana, Indy Parks provides permit guidance for private vendor sales. Indy Parks requires permits for private vendor sales. Tell the park what paid services, rentals or entertainment you propose, and check the applicable approval rather than treating all party activities as ordinary park use. This example applies only to Indianapolis's listed municipal facilities; other cities and state-managed parks have separate operators and rules. Confirm the exact venue's reservation process and permission for hired entertainment.
