Begin with a wave or let the child watch beside a trusted adult; photos can wait until they feel ready.
Share where to meet and explain that waving, watching and joining a photo are all welcome choices.
No. Confirm the venue's approval separately, and check program details, cost and availability with our team.
For a gathering in Coal Creek, Washington, settle the space and booking route before building the character visit around it. A clear greeting point helps the birthday child meet the character at their own pace; guests can choose a wave, a photo or simply watching. Keep any group activity brief and optional. State park reservation procedures depend on facility type, and they do not confirm event approval. City facilities are unverified. Ask us about your theme, then confirm the program, cost and availability before planning around a date.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Washington State Parks identifies reservation types that require its call center. Check the actual facility type and booking channel before trying to secure a picnic shelter or group space online. Verify access, setup and permission for hired entertainment separately with the operator; a reservation route is not event approval.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
