Begin with a short hello and let children approach at their own pace. Offer a wave or a photo as options, not expectations.
Set a clear meeting spot, choose an adult to guide the group and share the timing and guest ages with our team.
No. Confirm the exact facility's permission and access arrangements with its operator, then separately confirm the visit details with our team.
A Dillingham celebration can keep the character moment simple: greet children at their level, leave room for a little conversation and invite a photo or group activity only when they are ready. For an outdoor plan, think through the setting and a weather alternative before choosing where everyone will gather. Share the intended location and visit preferences with our team. Confirm the costume theme, program details, cost and availability directly; a date request is not a booking or payment.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Alaska's Refuge Cove State Recreation Site publishes an online reservation route for its picnic shelter. Check the specific shelter, date and access conditions rather than assuming every state park works the same way. Ask the operator about permission for a hired character visit; the reservation route alone does not establish that permission.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
