In Easton, Ohio, make the character visit a short, predictable part of the party rather than the whole agenda. Ask us about a gentle hello, a wave or high-five chosen by each child, and a brief photo moment with the birthday child first. Children who prefer to watch can stay beside a trusted adult and join later. Before the visit, tell the organizer the party address, best arrival entrance, guest ages and a contact person. Confirm the theme-provider program, timing, cost and availability directly; a date request is not a reservation.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.

National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
