Let the child approach at their own pace. A wave or brief greeting from beside a trusted adult is enough; photos can wait.
Offer a simple group moment, such as a song or pose, without requiring participation. Ask us what the requested character program may include.
Before planning around the visit, confirm the date, cost and program details with our team. A request is not a reservation or payment.
In Elm Grove, Ohio, a calm start can help the birthday child settle in before the whole group gathers around. Set aside a clear spot for a greeting and photos, then let each guest choose whether to join a simple activity or watch. If the party is outdoors, decide in advance who will track weather and guide a move indoors. City facilities and local policies are not verified here. Ask us to confirm the proposed character program, cost and availability.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.

National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
