Start with a wave and give the child time to decide whether to come closer.
Let them know they can join the activity, watch from their seats or step away with an adult.
You can ask us about options, but program details, cost, timing and availability must be confirmed.
For Est de Coamo celebrations, put the birthday child's comfort first: let them see the character arrive, then choose whether to wave, say hello or take a photo with a parent close by. Keep guest participation simple, such as a short group game that children may watch instead. An organizer can share the plan and any sensitivities ahead of time. Ask us to confirm the requested character, program details, timing, cost and availability. Venue access and local policies are not verified, so confirm them with your selected location.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
Official source (opens in a new tab)Choose an adult to monitor the forecast and decide when to move the group indoors. National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
