Let the child watch with a caregiver nearby, then offer a wave or brief hello only if they seem ready. Keep the interaction optional.
Invite them to a short group activity or singalong, while making it fine to observe instead. Leave room for the birthday child to pause.
Provide the date, location, guest count, and preferred interaction style. A request is not confirmation; check program details, cost, and availability with our team.
For a Fairview, Kansas, party, decide in advance who will watch the weather if the gathering is outdoors. That frees the organizer to welcome the character and help the birthday child choose a wave, a short conversation, or time to watch. Keep a photo moment optional, and invite guests to take part in one brief activity if they wish. Before asking us about this character-visit service, have the party setting, date, and guest count in mind. Program details, cost, and availability must be confirmed with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
Official source (opens in a new tab)Choose an adult to monitor the forecast and decide when to move the group indoors. National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
