A relaxed Fontana, Kansas, character visit can start with a clear plan for where the birthday child may greet the character. Keep a parent close, offer a wave or photo as choices, and let other children join at their own pace. For an outdoor gathering, prepare a real indoor alternative and decide which adult will monitor the weather. When you ask our team about a visit, share the setting and preferred schedule; program details, costs and availability must be confirmed.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
Official source (opens in a new tab)Choose an adult to monitor the forecast and decide when to move the group indoors. National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
