Keep the opening brief and let the child's response guide what comes next. A wave or a moment watching can be enough to start.
Invite children to take turns with a greeting or photo, with an adult guiding the flow. Let anyone who prefers to watch remain with their caregiver.
Check the chosen site's reservation process, access and permission for hired entertainment. Ask our team to confirm theme, program details, costs and availability.
For a Fort Myers celebration, a clear, unhurried plan can help the guest of honor enjoy the character in their own way. Begin with a friendly greeting, then offer a photo or a simple activity that guests may join at their comfort level. Give the organizer time to welcome families and help children take turns. If a state park is under consideration, verify the specific property and its rules rather than assuming a party is permitted. Ask us about the theme; confirm program details, costs and availability with our team.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Florida DEP describes the Florida Park Service and links to its state park information. Identify the exact state-managed property, then ask about the relevant group facility, reservation process and operating conditions. Describe hired entertainment to the operator before booking; the agency overview does not establish birthday eligibility, permission or availability at a particular park.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
