Offer a wave or a photo from beside a trusted adult before suggesting a closer hello. Let the child choose whether to join in.
Choose a well-lit spot with room for guests to wait their turn. Keep the birthday child near a familiar adult.
No. Ask us to confirm availability, cost, and program details; submitting a date request does not reserve a visit.
In Fostoria, build the character visit around a clear weather plan if your gathering is outdoors. Give the birthday child time to watch the character arrive before inviting them to say hello or join a simple activity. Set aside a spot for photos where guests can take turns without crowding the child. Before the visit, tell the entertainer about the party schedule, guest ages, and any child who may prefer to observe first. Ask us to confirm program details, cost, and availability; a date request is not a reservation.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
Official source (opens in a new tab)Choose an adult to monitor the forecast and decide when to move the group indoors. National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
