Let the child choose a wave, a photo, or time to watch first. Avoid making a hug or speaking in front of guests the price of participation.
Choose a clear greeting spot, tell the character team the child's name and any preferences, and ask guests to leave room for photos.
Program details, costs and availability need confirmation with our team. A greeting, photos or a simple group activity are ideas to discuss, not guaranteed inclusions.
For a Franktown, Colorado gathering, plan the character visit around one calm focal point rather than a busy sequence. A host can welcome the character, invite the birthday child to choose a wave or short hello, then offer a small group photo. Keep an alternate activity ready for children who prefer to watch. Before settling on an outdoor plan, verify the chosen space and its rules directly; the available information is statewide guidance, not confirmation of Franktown venues or policies. Ask us about program ideas, costs and availability, then confirm details with our team.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife explains that group-area amenities vary by state park. Check the actual shelter, surface, seating and access arrangements for the chosen group area before planning games or a character entrance. Ask the park about the proposed hired entertainment and any event procedures; listed amenities do not establish approval or availability.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
