Let the child choose a wave, a hello beside a caregiver, or a little time to observe before joining the activity.
Plan one group photo opportunity and invite children to join or watch, without making anyone pose.
Check facility hours and activity permission, then ask us to confirm program details, cost, and availability. A date request is not a reservation.
At a gathering in Guilford College, build the character visit around the facility's allowed hours rather than guessing at a schedule. Confirm the permitted use period and layout, then set a clear arrival window for the character. Give the birthday child a low-pressure first greeting and let guests choose between joining a short group moment or watching. A single planned photo stop can keep transitions easy. Ask us to confirm the requested character, program details, costs, and availability.

North Carolina State Parks notes that facilities can have limited hours. Check the exact shelter or room's permitted use period, layout and reservation conditions before setting the entertainer's arrival and departure times. Ask the park about hired entertainment separately; a facility reservation does not establish approval for all party activities.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
