For a party in Haswell, Colorado, organizer preparation can make a character visit feel easy for a small group. Choose a clear meeting point and tell guests when the character will arrive, so children are not caught off guard. Invite the birthday child to greet the character from a comfortable distance before deciding on a photo or activity. Keep participation optional, and check the gathering space before planning movement-based games. Confirm program details, costs and availability with our team.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife explains that group-area amenities vary by state park. Check the actual shelter, surface, seating and access arrangements for the chosen group area before planning games or a character entrance. Ask the park about the proposed hired entertainment and any event procedures; listed amenities do not establish approval or availability.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
