Let the birthday child choose between a wave, a photo or watching with a trusted adult. They can change their mind at any time.
Share the planned arrival time, photo spot and indoor backup with the supervising adults. Keep a clear route for children moving between activities.
No. Ask us to confirm the requested theme, program details, cost and availability. A request is not a confirmed reservation or payment.
At a Henrico party, fit the character visit into the space and time you have confirmed rather than trying to fill every minute. Let the birthday child meet the character with a wave or a quiet photo, then invite guests to join if they choose. Prepare the photo area and explain the plan to the supervising adults beforehand. Ask us to confirm the requested theme, program, cost and availability. Statewide guidance can help with checking state-park hours and weather planning, but local Henrico venues and policies have not been verified.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
North Carolina State Parks notes that facilities can have limited hours. Check the exact shelter or room's permitted use period, layout and reservation conditions before setting the entertainer's arrival and departure times. Ask the park about hired entertainment separately; a facility reservation does not establish approval for all party activities.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
