Give the child choices such as waving, saying hello with a parent, or watching first. Do not require a hug or photo.
Choose a time that fits the facility's permitted hours and leaves space for greeting, photos, and transitions. Confirm program timing with us.
Not necessarily. Check directly with the facility, and ask us to confirm program details, cost, and availability.
A Kapps Mill party plan can leave plenty of breathing room around the character's arrival. Let the birthday child decide whether to greet the visitor right away or watch from a familiar adult's side. Follow with optional photos and a short, easy-to-join activity; avoid packing the visit between too many transitions. If using a facility, check its permitted hours and layout before setting the schedule. Ask us to confirm the theme, program details, cost, and availability.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
North Carolina State Parks notes that facilities can have limited hours. Check the exact shelter or room's permitted use period, layout and reservation conditions before setting the entertainer's arrival and departure times. Ask the park about hired entertainment separately; a facility reservation does not establish approval for all party activities.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
