Have the character greet the group without asking the birthday child to step forward. Let the child choose whether to wave, talk or join a photo.
Plan one group moment, then invite guests in pairs for a quick question or picture. An organizer can guide the turns and keep the visit area open.
A request alone does not confirm the pavilion or character visit. Check the space booking with its operator and confirm visit details, costs and availability with our team.
A Klines Grove celebration can start with the birthday child choosing where to meet the character, such as beside a parent or with the whole group. Offer a wave or a short hello before moving to photos or a simple guest activity. Ask us about the requested theme and possible program ideas, then confirm details, costs and availability with our team. If a state park pavilion is part of your plan, check that booking separately and wait for confirmation before treating the date as set. These are statewide planning checks, not verified Klines Grove venues or policies.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Pennsylvania DCNR publishes payment conditions for confirmed state park picnic pavilion reservations. Check the current confirmation and cancellation process before treating a requested date as secured. Confirm the exact pavilion, access and permission for hired entertainment with its operator; the pavilion payment and the entertainer's quote are separate arrangements.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
