Give children a choice to greet, wave from a distance, or watch with an adult. Avoid calling a reluctant child forward for a solo moment.
Offer an optional group wave or a simple theme-related pose, then leave room for children who prefer to observe. Confirm any planned activity with our team.
Provide the requested theme, child's age, group size and venue layout. Ask our team to confirm program details, cost and availability before treating the date as settled.
For a Lasauses gathering, make the character's arrival easy to see and easy to step away from. A brief wave and greeting can lead into a photo moment, while guests choose whether to watch or take part. Before settling on games or an entrance, tell our team about the group and setting. Confirm the requested theme, program details, cost and availability; these are statewide planning checks and parent suggestions, not verified Lasauses venues or policies.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife explains that group-area amenities vary by state park. Check the actual shelter, surface, seating and access arrangements for the chosen group area before planning games or a character entrance. Ask the park about the proposed hired entertainment and any event procedures; listed amenities do not establish approval or availability.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
