Start with a quiet wave and let children approach only if they want to. A caregiver can stay close during greetings and photos.
Invite them to watch from a designated area, then offer a group wave or photo. Give the birthday child room to choose.
Confirm the venue's hours and activity rules, then share the schedule and photo plan with guests. Ask us or our team about program details, costs, and availability.
In Liledown, build the visit around the time your gathering space actually allows. Keep the greeting brief and welcoming, then let the birthday child decide whether to join a simple activity, take a photo, or stay close to a caregiver. Tell guests when the character moment will happen so children are not left waiting for a long stretch. These are statewide planning checks, not verified Liledown venue policies. Ask us or our team to confirm program details, costs, and availability.

North Carolina State Parks notes that facilities can have limited hours. Check the exact shelter or room's permitted use period, layout and reservation conditions before setting the entertainer's arrival and departure times. Ask the park about hired entertainment separately; a facility reservation does not establish approval for all party activities.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
