Explain the plan in advance and let children greet, join an activity or watch. A trusted adult can stay close to a hesitant child.
Ask one adult to organize a quick group photo, then offer smaller pictures as an option rather than a requirement.
No. A theme request does not reserve a date or include payment. Confirm the program, costs and availability with our team.
For a Long Beach, New York celebration, think first about how the group will fit in the space: children need room to gather, take turns and step away if they wish. Start with a gentle hello, let the birthday child pick a greeting and keep the activity short enough to leave time for photos. Tell guests what to expect, including that participation is optional. Ask the venue about its layout and rules, then ask us to confirm the requested theme's program details, costs and availability. An inquiry is not a reservation.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
New York State Parks describes a range of pavilion and event rental sizes and amenities. Check the exact facility's capacity, layout and regional booking conditions before choosing a gathering plan. Confirm whether a hired character visit and any equipment are permitted; the statewide rental page does not establish that every activity or date is available.
Official source (opens in a new tab)For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.
