A low-key character visit in Lyons, Ohio can center on a greeting the birthday child controls. Start with a wave or a little space, then let the child choose a photo or an easy group activity when ready. Give guests a clear, simple way to join without making the visit feel rushed. If the gathering is outdoors, plan a proper indoor backup and name who will make the weather call. Ask us to confirm theme, program details, cost and date availability.
Useful rules and places to check, each with its official source.
For any outdoor gathering, arrange an accessible indoor backup before the party. National Weather Service guidance identifies buildings with wiring and plumbing as stronger protection; an open picnic shelter is not a lightning backup. This is national planning guidance, not a local venue rule.

National Weather Service guidance calls for a designated weather monitor; confirm a practical route to the backup space with the venue. This does not establish local permits, shelter reservations or entertainer availability.
